Happy Earth Day from Andromeda! Today is in fact the 52nd ever Earth Day in the history of our beloved planet. At the 1969 UNESCO conference to advance world peace and security, American peace activist John McConnell proposed a day to honor Planet Earth. In the five decades since then, Earth Day has grown into a worldwide day of celebration, but also a global call to action for all citizens of Earth to figure out innovative solutions to protect our home.
This year’s Earth Day is focused on investing in our planet, and if you’ve seen any of the world’s leading scientists ringing alarm bells recently, you can understand why Metis is dedicated to innovative Web3 technologies to support sustainability and remediation efforts. No matter your background, Earth is our shared home, and it is our responsibility to nurture and support it in return for the life it creates.
