MetisDAO Foundation announces “Metis Marathon” Builder Incentive Program
As if Metis 2nd half of 2022 Roadmap wasn’t exciting enough, MetisDAO Foundation has just announced Metis Marathon, a 26-week long builder incentive program that aims to incentivize a fierce development of the Metis ecosystem. Besides introducing some of the Top DeFi protocols by TVL to our ecosystem, the Marathon will also help create a native powerhouse by directly incentivizing some of Metis’ most innovative native dApps.
Metis’ open-source and EVM-equivalent nature allows any dApps to seamlessly deploy on its network. Through their less-than-a-penny transaction costs, Metis is truly the best alternative among current L2s for compounding yield strategies, NFT minting & trading, heavy-throughput games, and the list goes on. By combining these EVM-equivalence and open-source upsides with web3 reputation, DAC infrastructure, the cheapest transactions among all L2s, and a 6-month builder incentive program: Metis Andromeda will have all the elements to secure its spot among the Top Ethereum Layer 2s

We’re starting the Metis Marathon Builder Incentive Program RED HOT, welcoming to Metis Andromeda nothing less than SUSHI SWAP! As you can imagine, we’re bringing the whole trident: All three (3) prongs.
1st Prong: Bentobox through Kashi
2nd Prong: Expansion of new pool types
3rd Prong: Routing engine

Just like the three prongs, Metis Marathon will be inaugurated by three protocols: Sushiswap, and two other protocols that will be announced in the upcoming weeks (Turn on MetisDAO Notifications!). The Metis Marathon will not be limited in any way to this “Big 3”, but instead just being kicked off by them. Throughout the 26 week builder incentive program, small, medium, and large protocols will be incentivized and will have the chance to apply for grants and/or funding.

As we bring new protocols into our young ecosystem, we expect to see a lot of internal collaborations among native Metis dApps and web3 giants. The building won’t wait until the end of Metis Marathon: The Marathon will actually be a period of heavy building, Metisians will just be able to enjoy the major benefits that we’ll add as we build;). So, yeah: the next 26 weeks will be very interesting. Builders, users, LPs, content creators: stay ready.
